Overview

Rhythm Cat is a mobile rhythm game for Android where players tap and interact in sync with music. To provide features like leaderboards and progress tracking, and to show ads, we collect a limited set of information.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Rhythm Cat mobile application and describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your data. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use Rhythm Cat:

Rhythm Cat does not offer real-money in-app purchases. Any in-game currency is earned by playing or by watching optional rewarded ads.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for the following purposes:

• Identifying your device so your progress and leaderboard entry persist across sessions
• Saving and syncing your game progress
• Displaying leaderboards with nicknames and scores
• Serving ads and measuring ad performance (see Advertising below)
• Diagnosing bugs, crashes, and performance issues
• Improving gameplay balance and difficulty tuning based on aggregate usage patterns
• Complying with legal obligations where required

We do not sell your data to marketing companies. Our only advertising partner is Google AdMob, used to display in-app ads as described below.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Rhythm Cat shows ads, including optional rewarded ads, using Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob may automatically collect and share the following with Google, for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes:

• Advertising ID / App Set ID
• IP address (used to estimate your general location)
• Device and ad interaction data
• Diagnostic and crash information

You can reset or limit ad tracking at any time from your Android device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google Settings → Ads). For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from partner apps.

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Your nickname and score are visible to other players within the leaderboard feature. Beyond that, we may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted third-party services that help us operate the game (Firebase for leaderboards, Google AdMob for ads). These providers are bound by their own data-processing terms.
• Legal requirements: If required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent: For any other purpose, only with your explicit permission.

Data Security

We rely on Firebase and Google AdMob's platform-standard security practices to protect your data, including:

• Data transmission encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Access to leaderboard data restricted to authorized personnel only
• Regular security reviews of our systems

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your leaderboard entry (nickname and score) for as long as it remains linked to your active device/sign-in identifier. If you request deletion, we will permanently erase your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Anonymized, aggregate analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained by Google per its own retention policies.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Request a copy of the leaderboard data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request that we delete your leaderboard entry and identifier
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing, such as analytics

Children's Privacy

Rhythm Cat is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

For users between 13 and 18, we encourage parental involvement and oversight of their app usage.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the game evolves — for example, when new platforms are supported or new features are added. When we make significant changes, we will note them here with an updated "Last updated" date, and where possible, notify you in-app.

Continued use of Rhythm Cat after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
